I love anything that brings young people into the museum, and I especially enjoy the cross-pollination that happens between musicians and museums, which appears to be happening a lot these days.  Klaus Biesenbach’s collaboration with Lana del Rey and Patty Smith, for example. For me, the epicenter of activism and movement forward is happening in museums. Biesenbach, again, using his platform to bring awareness to the dual Trump tragedies of Puerto Rico, and the withdrawal from the Paris accord. Well Klaus just steps right around him and affects change, doesn’t he? 

Kids from the city will be what saves us, but we need to remember to invite them to the party, as they have been in this example.
